Breakfast. In the morning, an exclusive and intense tour of Lima’s Historic Center will allow us to admire the architectural relics that are part of this ancient city, recognized by UNESCO as a Cultural Heritage of Humanity. The Convent of Santo Domingo marks the beginning of this magnificent experience. Built during Lima’s foundation, this site housed the oldest university in the Americas: Universidad Mayor de San Marcos. Inside, you’ll find the country’s oldest choir stalls and a library with 25,000 books, some printed in the 15th century. The remains of San Martín de Porres, San Juan Masías, and Santa Rosa de Lima rest here. Crossing the Plaza Mayor, we’ll see the Government Palace and City Hall before entering the Cathedral, a historical jewel filled with colonial art. We’ll then head to the Larco Museum, where we’ll gain a clear vision of Peru’s ancient cultures. Its collection includes gold pieces, textiles, and erotic ceramics that reveal the worldview of ancient Peruvians. The museum’s storage area will also be open for us to appreciate additional ceramic art. Overnight in Lima.

Transfer to the airport for our flight to Cusco. Upon arrival, assistance and transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon, we’ll explore the beautiful city of Cusco, the capital of the Inca Empire. We’ll start at the San Cristóbal viewpoint for a privileged view of the city, then visit San Pedro Market to discover local customs and products. Next, we’ll visit Koricancha Temple, an emblematic site with impressive Inca constructions. We’ll continue to the famous San Blas neighborhood, walking through streets that blend Inca and colonial culture. The tour ends at Cusco Cathedral, where we’ll admire its colonial masterpieces. DAY 04 – CUSCO (Excursion to Sacsayhuamán Archaeological Park)

Breakfast. In the morning, we’ll escape the crowds to visit Sacsayhuamán, an impressive citadel with colossal constructions surrounded by stunning landscapes. We’ll then head to Q’enqo, an Inca shrine featuring a sacrificial altar carved into rock. Finally, we’ll visit Puca Pucará and Tambomachay, a monument of remarkable architectural excellence considered a pillar of Andean worldview. Afternoon free for additional activities or strolling through Cusco. The included entrance pass grants access to other sites not visited during the tour. Accommodation.

DAY 05 – CUSCO – OLLANTAYTAMBO (Sacred Valley Excursion with Lunch)

Breakfast. Today we’ll visit the highlights of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. We’ll start in Chinchero, the most typical and picturesque town in the valley, famous for its women weavers. We’ll stop at a textile center to learn ancient Inca techniques for dyeing and spinning alpaca wool. We’ll visit its Inca square and beautiful colonial church. Next, we’ll head to Moray, an archaeological site with concentric agricultural terraces used as a laboratory for recreating microclimates. Lunch included. We’ll continue to Ollantaytambo, the last living Inca town, where we’ll visit the Temple of Ten Niches, the Ñusta baths, and the Temple of the Sun. Stunning views from Ollantaytambo’s heights will close this magical day. Overnight at Las Qolqas glamping for a unique experience. Accommodation.

DAY 06 – OLLANTAYTAMBO

Free day to enjoy an authentic experience in one of the last living Inca towns, rich in ancestral traditions. Ollantaytambo offers adventures and community interaction for those eager to uncover its secrets. Choose and book one of our experiences in advance:

  • Hike to Inti Punku: A challenging ascent to the ancient gateway used by jungle dwellers entering Ollantaytambo. This gate faces the La Verónica snow-capped peak. Along the way, you’ll see the Cacchicata stone quarries used to build Ollantaytambo’s temple.
  • Las Qolqas: Another popular route for adventurers, usually seen only from afar by casual visitors.
  • Huilloc Community: Located in the Patacancha River basin, this beautiful village preserves ancestral traditions and offers various activities. See our “Cusco, Living Culture” circuit. Overnight at Las Qolqas glamping.

Breakfast. Today we’ll visit one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Our staff will assist us in boarding transportation that ascends a winding road offering spectacular views of the Urubamba River and its famous canyon. Machu Picchu, the Lost City of the Incas, will welcome us with its terraces, stairways, ceremonial sites, and urban areas. The energy of this place is palpable. After a guided tour, we’ll have lunch at a local restaurant. Return by train and transfer to the hotel. Accommodation in Cusco.
