PERU AND ARGENTINA

Meet at Mexico City airport to board the flight to Lima. Arrival, reception, and transfer to the hotel. Accommodation.

Breakfast. We will tour the main streets, squares, and avenues of the city. We start with a panoramic view of the Miraflores district, beginning at the Love Park, where we will see the famous sculpture “The Kiss” by Peruvian artist Víctor Delfín. Then, we will observe the impressive Huaca Pucllana, a ceremonial center of the Lima culture. We continue to the Plaza de Armas, where we find the Government Palace and the Municipal Palace. We will visit the Cathedral and walk to the Convent of Santo Domingo, whose halls were walked by San Martín de Porres and Santa Rosa de Lima in the 17th century and where their remains currently lie. Accommodation.

Breakfast. At the indicated time, transfer to the airport to board the flight to Cusco. Arrival, reception, and transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon, we will ascend to the Sacsayhuamán Archaeological Park and begin the excursion visiting the fortress of the same name, a beautiful place that radiates peace and tranquility. We will admire the enormous rocks up to 4 meters high used in its construction. We continue with Q'enqo, an ancient temple of the Puma where you can see an altar for sacrifices inside a huge rock, and then Tambomachay, sacred fountains of life and health. On the way, we will have a panoramic view of Puca Pucará, a watchtower that guarded the entrance to the city. Afterwards, we will go to the Temple of the Sun “Korikancha,” upon which the Convent of Santo Domingo was built. Legend says this temple was completely covered in gold sheets that amazed the conquerors upon their arrival. Finally, we will visit the Plaza de Armas and enter the Cathedral, which treasures invaluable colonial works and paintings. Accommodation.

We will depart by train to visit one of the 7 Wonders of the World. We will arrive at Aguas Calientes station, where our staff will assist us to board the transport that will ascend through a winding road, offering a spectacular view of the Urubamba River that shapes the famous canyon. The Lost City of the Incas, Machu Picchu, will welcome us with its incredible terraces, stairways, ceremonial enclosures, and urban areas. Energy emanates from the entire place. After a guided tour, we will have lunch at one of the local restaurants (drinks not included). Transfer to the train station to return to Ollantaytambo. Pick-up and transfer to the Cusco hotel. Breakfast. This excursion conveys the excitement of a multifaceted Buenos Aires. We will visit the most important points of our city: Plaza de Mayo, the political, social, and historical center where we find the Casa Rosada (Executive Power headquarters), the Cabildo, the Metropolitan Cathedral, and the May Pyramid. From there, we will cross part of Avenida de Mayo, rich in architectural styles where European-style buildings stand out. This avenue connects the Executive and Legislative Palaces and has always been a meeting point for the Spanish community. Then we will visit the San Telmo neighborhood to learn its history, followed by La Boca, known for its colorful houses and for being the first port of Buenos Aires and the center of the Italian community, especially Genoese. Next, we will visit the northern part of the city: Palermo, a neighborhood with large mansions, the Tres de Febrero Park, numerous squares, and important avenues. In this area, we will see the Zoo, Botanical Garden, Argentine Racetrack, Argentine Polo Field, and the Monument to the Magna Carta, commonly called “De los Españoles.” Then we will go to Recoleta, one of the most elegant and aristocratic neighborhoods, where we will see Paseo del Pilar full of restaurants and bars, the Church of Pilar, and important buildings. We will circle the Colón Theater and Plaza Lavalle, where we will see, in addition to the mentioned theater, the National Cervantes Theater, the Roca School, and the Legislative Palace. We will cross the city’s most important avenue, 9 de Julio, where the Plaza de la República is located, with the most characteristic symbol of Buenos Aires at its center: the Obelisk. Finally, we will head to Puerto Madero, the city’s most modern neighborhood. The old port, renovated in 1990, became a trendy spot and one of the areas with the most bars and restaurants.
